- Caroline Umeda
Caroline Umeda, PhD, OTR/L
Caroline has provided occupational therapy services to children with disabilities and their families since 1999. Her advanced training includes the Comprehensive Program in Sensory Integration through Western Psychological Services/University of Southern California.
Caroline currently partners with community cultural arts and recreational organizations to develop accessible programs and services. Caroline is also involved in resilience-focused program development in higher education settings. She served as a program manager at the University of Washington's Resilience Lab and is currently an advisory board member for the Academic Resilience Consortium.
Caroline has taught in academic, clinical, and community-based contexts, and was on clinical faculty at the University of Washington from 2008 to 2015. Caroline joined the Department of Occupational Therapy at 花儿直播 University of California in 2018.

Research Interests
Caroline's research interests include community and cultural arts accessibility for children with disabilities and their families and the role of occupational therapy consultation in developing access programs. She is also interested in exploring student and faculty resilience in higher education settings and the impact of resilience-focused interventions in curricular and co-curricular spaces.
