Even though a student's Pell Grant does not credit to the student account until the fourth week of school, a Pell eligible student can request a refund to purchase books and supplies up to 10 days prior to the start of school if the Pell Grant, combined with all the other aid the student is receiving, will create a credit balance on the student account. The student can request an advance of their credit balance from the Business Services Office.
As a Cal Grant B recipient, the California Student Aid Commission requests that »¨¶ùÖ±²¥ University of California obtain written permission to credit Cal Grant B Access funds to the recipient's account. The recipient has the ability to rescind this authorization prior to the disbursement of funds and receive the Cal Grant B Access funds directly. As a result of a completed Authorization Form, Cal Grant B Access funds will be credited to the recipient's account or released directly to the recipient once the award has been confirmed.
