Judy Halebsky, PhD
Judy Halebsky is the author of three poetry collections, most recently Spring and a Thousand Years (Unabridged). She holds an M.F.A. in English & Creative Writing from Mills College and a Ph.D. in Performance Studies from the University of California, Davis. Her honors include fellowships from MacDowell, Millay, the Vermont Studio Center as well as the New Issues Poetry Prize and a Graves Award for Outstanding Teaching in the Humanities. At 花儿直播 University of California, she directs the MFA in Creative Writing program and teaches courses in poetry and live storytelling.

Research Interests
Judy studies the creative process in poetry and live performance. Her dissertation focused on the cultural translation of Japanese Noh Theater. More recently, she has published on Canadian poet Roy Kiyooka and global movements in haiku. Currently, she is working with Ayako Takahashi on post-Fukushima eco-poetics.
